At the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh and the delegates were briefed by Major General Dao Gia Bao, Director of the Department of Party and Political Work on the task performance results of the unit in 2019.

Particularly, the unit has advised the Public Security Central Party Committee to issue a new Regulation on Party organization in the People's Public Security Forces (PSF), consolidate and strengthen Party organizations at all levels under the new apparatus of the Ministry of Public Security, thus improving the leadership of Party organizations and Party members in the PSF as well as promoting the role model of public security units’ leaders.
Political education has been strengthened while guidelines and resolutions of the higher-level Party agencies have been promptly and effectively implemented, especially the regulations issued by the Party Central Committee on the responsibility of officials and Party members and directives on organizing Party congresses at all levels, across the PSF.
Meanwhile, the movements “Building the People's Public Security officers with strong willpower, humane style and devoted service to the people" and “Studying and following Uncle Ho's thoughts, morals and style” have been promoted with innovative methods and in a practical and effective manner.
The department has regularly checked all public security officers and soldiers’ observance of the People’s Public Security Forces’ regulations and order, promoted emulation and rewarding work by recognizing and replicating good examples and good deeds, contributing to building a beautiful image of the PSF in the people’s eyes. is the work has been strongly supported by Party members, public security officers and other social sectors.
Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh highly appreciated the achievements obtained by the Department of Party and Political Work in 2019.
Regarding its key tasks in the coming time, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh urged the Department of Party and Political Work to further strengthen the Party work in the PSF in accordance with the regulations of the Party Central Committee while actively renovating all aspects of the work.
The department should also direct all public security agencies and units to implement the guidelines and regulations issued by higher-level Party agencies on Party and political work in the PSF, said Deputy Minister Thanh.
The Deputy Minister also suggested the units to coordinate closely with media and press agencies to spread good examples of the PSF, thereby creating strong emulation movements in the entire forces. The department was ask to tighten its inspection of public security officers and soldiers’ observance of the public security discipline while well performing the emulation and rewarding work in the PSF.
