The large-scale and solemn event vividly reflected the vibrant emulation spirit of the regular, elite and modern PPSF. Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, who is the Head of the Games' Steering Committee, chaired the event.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung emphasized that strengthening and improving the quality and effectiveness of physical education, sports, regulations, operational tactics and martial arts training within the PPSF is a vital task and solution. This directly contributes to building truly clean, strong, regular, elite, and modern PPSF capable of meeting the task requirements of the new era, in line with the spirit of Resolution No. 12-NQ/TW issued by the Politburo on March 16, 2022.
On that basis, the Public Security Central Party Committee, the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security and the Party committees and leaders of local police units have consistently paid close attention to directing and effectively implementing these training areas over the years. These efforts have enhanced physical fitness, advanced the sports movement and firmly maintained the discipline, order, professional conduct, protocols, and behavioral culture of officers and soldiers across the entire PPSF.
Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung noted that the upcoming tasks of protecting national security and maintaining social order and safety will present the PPSF with new demands, accompanied by numerous difficulties and challenges arising from fast-paced, complex, and unpredictable developments globally, regionally and domestically.
To successfully fulfill these duties, continue the effective implementation of physical and tactical training and ensure the success of the 2026 Games, the Deputy Minister requested that all public security units and agencies focus on participating teams must uphold their sense of responsibility and determination to achieve the highest results while preserving solidarity and comradeship.
They must strictly adhere to the PPSF regulations as well as the rules of the Games, competing in the spirit of "Solidarity - Honesty - Nobility - Progress - Impartiality - Fairness - Objectivity." This dedication will contribute practically to the "Three Best" emulation movement (Best Discipline, Most Loyal, Closest to the People) launched by the Ministry of Public Security.The events must inspire and encourage active participation among officers and soldiers, ensuring timely praise and rewards for outstanding collectives and individuals. The public security press and media should portray the bravery, strength, solidarity and dedicated spirit of the PPSF in serving the Fatherland and the People.
The Organizing Committee, Board of Judges, Referee Panel, Secretariat, coaches, athletes and all participating personnel must strictly execute regulations, ensuring absolute safety and discipline throughout the competitions. As the host unit, the Hue City Police Department must ensure the thorough preparation of facilities, fields, training grounds, firing ranges, gymnasiums, stadiums, and supporting equipment, ensuring that the organization and grading processes remain impartial, objective, and accurate.
On behalf of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung expressed his sincere gratitude to the Municipal Party Committee, the People's Council, the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City as well as involved local departments and sectors for their close coordination and effective support. He expressed his desire for continued companionship from local authorities in the future. He also commended the Department of Political Work and Hue City Public Security for their rigorous efforts in overcoming challenges to meticulously prepare all necessary conditions for the event.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that with a high sense of responsibility, firm determination and an enthusiastic emulation spirit, the Games would truly become a major festival for the PPSF. It stands as a testament to the will, bravery, discipline and absolute loyalty of the PPSF to the Party, the Fatherland and the People, while widely promoting the noble image of the public security officers who are always "close to the people, respects the people, and wholeheartedly serves the people."
In his welcoming address, Vice Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee Ha Van Tuan stated that recognizing the profound meaning and importance of the event, the leadership of Hue City closely directed the local police force, departments and sectors to collaborate seamlessly with the Organizing Committee. He emphasized that the city had meticulously prepared human and material resources to ensure the most favorable and safest conditions for all competing teams.
Taking place from June 4 to June 11, 2026, the Games feature the participation of over 1,400 athletes belonging to 34 teams.
Additionally, more than 2,000 officers and soldiers from the High Command of the Security Guard Police, the Mobile Police High Command, the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department (FPFR), the Department of Education and Training, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department, the Hanoi Municipal Police Department, and Laotian exchange students studying at PPS academies and schools participated in performances involving motorcycles, cavalry, military music, martial arts and military tactics.
