MPS seeks to strengthen with U.S partners within the framework of Vietnam–U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership

General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security held talks on May 30 with Singapore’s Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs K. Shanmugam.

Vietnam is pushing ahead with efforts to streamline its state apparatus, improve institutions and strengthen national governance capacity, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and State President To Lam said.

Also on May 27 in Moscow, General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo Member and Minister of Public Security of Vietnam, held talks with the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin.

General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo Member and Minister of Public Security of Vietnam, leading a high-level delegation from the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security, attended the 6th Russia-ASEAN High-Level Consultations on Security, on the afternoon of May 27 (local time) in Moscow.

Member of the Political Bureau and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang, leading a high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, arrived in Moscow on May 25, beginning an official visit to the Russian Federation and attending the first International Security Forum hosted by the Russian Security Council, at the invitation of Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation General Sergei Shoigu.

Within the framework of his visit to Russia to attend the first International Security Forum, Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang held separate talks with Russian Minister of Emergency Situations Aleksandr Kurenkov and Russian Minister of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev, on the afternoon of May 26 (local time).

PSNews - Cooperation between Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is set to deepen through a range of practical projects, spanning patrol vessels, fire prevention and rescue capabilities, cybersecurity and digital transformation in traffic safety training.

The Ministry of Public Security, on May 17, held the artistic exchange program “Shining from the People’s Trust” to mark the 10th anniversary of the “Outstanding Women in Public Security” Award (2015–2024), alongside the presentation ceremony for the 2025 “Outstanding Women in Public Security” Award and the commendation of “Excellent Female Grassroots Police Officers”.
