Young police officers conduct “Green Journey” to border localities

PSNews – Within the framework of the program “Green Journey”, the Youth Union members of the Quang Nam Provincial Police have held many meaningful activities for local people in Tay Giang border district.

In the celebration of the 71st anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27), the young officers of the Quang Nam Provincial Police launched a summer voluntary drive themed “Green Journey” in Ga Ri border commune, Tay Giang district, within the framework of the Youth Volunteer Campaign Summer 2018.

During the 3-day program, the participating young officers of the Quang Nam Police visited and presented 70 packs of necessaries to policy beneficiary families and needy households in the locality.

Besides, the working mission with doctors and nurses also offered free health check-ups and medicines to over 400 residents totally worth approximately 100 million VND.

The Youth Union chapter of the Quang Nam Provincial Police also visited and presented gifts to Border Post 651 stationing in Ga Ri Commune, coordinated with the local border guard force in holding dissemination of information about border sovereignty, and organized a cultural exchange night themed "Border Love" with local people.

This was an opportunity for young police officers to promote their vanguard and voluntary spirit for the community, and contribute positively to the movement "Building an image of the brave and humane police officer to serve the people."

* Also within the framework of the Youth Volunteer Campaign Summer 2018, Youth Union members of the Security Division under the Quang Nam Provincial Police Department visited and offered incense at the Vietnamese Heroic Mother Monument in Tam Phu commune, Tam Ky city, and held the program "Green March" to Tam Tien commune, Nui Thanh district. 

The young police officers cleaned up the 2-km seaside, planted 50 new trees and presented 50 packs of gifts worth 20 million VND to needy children at Ngo May Primary School.
