Vinh Phuc police awarded Third-class Labor Order

PSNews – The Vinh Phuc Provincial Police Department held a ceremony on June 7 to receive a Third-class Labor Order.

The event saw the presence of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security; and Mrs. Hoang Thi Thuy Lan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council of Vinh Phuc.

In early 2020, Vinh Phuc was recognized as the first cluster of COVID-19 infection in community in Vietnam. The Vinh Phuc Police Department immediately advised the local authority and the Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control at all levels to implement drastic measures to stamp out the pandemic, while ensuring local security and order.

In recognition of the remarkable contribution of the Vinh Phuc police force in prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic, the State President on February 19 signed a decision to award a Third-class Labor Order to the Vinh Phuc Provincial Police Department.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son praised the achievements of the provincial police in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic and ensuring security and order over the past time.

In the coming time, the Deputy Minister asked the Vinh Phuc Provincial Police Department to promptly grasp the situation and continue to effectively implement preventive measures, predict possible scenarios and craft plans to deal with the possible scenarios of the COVID-19 pandemic in locality, while preparing sufficient medical facilities and enhancing preventive measures in industrial zones.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son stressed that the Central Party Committee of Public Security and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security hoped that the Vinh Phuc Police Department will successfully fulfill their objectives of building a regular, elite and modern police force by 2030 in line with the 13th National Party Congress Resolution and the 7th Public Security Party Congress’s Resolution.

At the ceremony, under the authority of the State President, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son handed the Third-class Labor Order to the Vinh Phuc Provincial Police Department, and Certificates of Merit from Minister of Public Security to organizations and individuals with outstanding achievements in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
