Vietnamese rescue police continue rescue mission in a new site

The Vietnamese rescue police mission in Turkey moved to a new location on February 14, 2023, to carry out their rescue mission in the ruins.

Vietnamese rescue police move to a new site to search and rescue victims.

At a meeting before going to the new location, the Head of the mission Senior Colonel Nguyen Minh Khuong reported, after 04 days of working in Turkey, the Vietnamese police in collaboration with rescue forces from other countries successfully rescued one person and moved out 6 dead others out of the rubble.

The rescue team also donated 02 tons of medical supplies to Turkey and offered aid to victims of the terrible earthquake on February 6.

Being reported on the situation, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security praised the rescue police mission in Turkey and asked all members of the mission to overcome any difficulties and be determined to complete all assignments while ensuring safety during carrying out their rescue operations.

As assigned by local authorities, the Vietnamese rescue police mission moved to work in a new location, where Building C of Living Quarter Cinar Sitesi at No 66 Kemalpasa street, Cumhuriyet district, Adiyaman city, Turkey.

The new site is about 4km from their field camp.

In the new place, which is estimated to bury some 100 victim, Vietnamese rescue police work alongside a USAID team and Turkish forces to conduct the search for victims.

Vietnamese police officers use specialized cameras and radars to search for signs of life in the rubble.

Although Vietnamese rescue police officers face lots of difficulties, lack of logistics, harsh climate, and no place to wash, they still tried their best to work hard everyday in a hope that they can find a life in the rubble.
