The visiting Vietnamese MPS delegation was led by Major General To An Xo, Chief of the Vietnamese MPS Office while the Lao side was headed by Major General SomvanSailongpha, Chief of the Lao MS Office.

Speaking at the talks, Major General Somvan Sailongpha, thanked the Vietnamese MPS Office for its support in all the fields over the past time. He informed that the situation of the Laos’ socio-economy as well as social order and security has been basically stable over the past time, but drug crime, human trafficking and cybercrime have still remained complicated. Therefore, he suggested that the two sides should continue to promote the coordination and cooperation.

Sincerely thanking Major General SomvanSailongpha for his reception, Major General To An Xo spoke highly of the time-testing traditional friendship, great special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos as well as between the two ministries. He praised the Lao people for their excellent achievements in the cause of national protection and development.

The guest agreed that the cooperation between the two sides should be promoted, contributing to maintaining social order and safety in each country in the coming time.

On the same day, Major General To An Xo and the Vietnamese MPS delegation paid a courtesy visit to Senior Lieutenant VilayLakhamphong, Minister of the Lao Ministry of Security.
