US Ambassador pays farewell visit to Minister of Public Security

PSNews – Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security on October 12 received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the US to Vietnam Ted Osius on his farewell visit before ending his term of office in Vietnam.

At the meeting, Minister To Lam highly valued the contribution of the outgoing US Ambassador to strengthening bilateral relations between Vietnam and the US, saying that the bilateral relationship saw many positive developments in the fields of politics, economy, culture, security and defense, contributing positively to the stable and sustainable development of each country in particular and the region in general.

Minister To Lam pointed out that, in recent years, the cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the law enforcement agencies of the US has achieved large fruits in various fields.

He hoped that Ambassador Ted Osius, on his new position, would continue contributing to strengthening bilateral relations, friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the US in general and between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the US law enforcement agencies in particular for peace, stability and development in the region ...

Ambassador Ted Osius, for his part, thanked Minister To Lam for his goodwill during his working term in Vietnam, and wished that the cooperation between the two countries will continue achieving good results in all fields.

At the same time, he believed that, in the coming time, the relationship between the US law enforcement agencies and the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security will continue to be strengthened, contributing to the relationship between the two countries.

The Ambassador affirmed that, on his new position, he will continue to do his best to promote the relationship between the two countries in a closer and more comprehensive manner.
