Training course held on friendly investigation with juvenile delinquency

PSNews – The Criminal Police Department under to Ministry of Public Security in February in collaboration with UNICEF organized a training course in Vinh Phuc Province on friendly investigation of cases related to juveniles gender sensitivity.

At the training course, representatives of the Criminal Police Department and the Vinh Phuc Provincial Police Department shared difficulties in investigating and handling crimes against children as well as preventing offences committed by people under 18.

Speaking at the event, Head of UNICEF Vietnam’s Child Protection Office Le Hong Loan stressed that it requires the involvement of all relevant agencies, organizations and individuals to disseminate laws to juveniles.

Specially, the police force plays an important role as they are more often to get reports on cases related to juveniles. They also ensure confidential investigation and will not release the juvenile identity and emotion.

Senior Colonel Ta Duc Dien, Deputy Director of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Police Department stated that, in the process of investigating and handling criminal cases, local police strictly abide by the law and the people's legitimate right, actively help and support both offenders and victims, especially women, children and juvenile, to integrate into the community.

According to Senior Colonel To Cao Lanh, Deputy Director of the Criminal Police Department, the training course was an opportunity for investigators to discuss the issue, exchange their working experience in investigating and handlling cases related to juveniles, contributing to crime prevention and control in the province.
