On behalf of the leadership of the Provincial Police Department, Senior Colonel Le Van Vu praised and presented certificates of merit to the Police Station of Huong Thuy and 7 police officers and soldiers.
He spoke highly of the successful investigation of the case by the Police Station and pointed out that the number of drug-related crimes tends to increase in the locality.
Earlier, as reported by the Public Security News, Ho Cong Nhat Quang rent a room in Thuy Bang commune, Huong Thuy town, on May 17, to hold a birthday party for his wife with the participation of some 60 people.
Quang later asked Le Cong Minh Hieu to find drugs. Hieu agreed and bought 20 ecstasy pills, one bag of another kind of drug, totally worth VND 13.5 million.
At 10 pm on the same day, 33 young men and women were still in the birthday party of Quang's wife. They were in 2 rooms rented by Quang and started playing drugs.
The police broke into the rooms and caught red-hand the youngsters taking illicit drugs.
The police seized more than 2.2 grams of synthetic drugs and more than 8 grams of ketamine. 32 out of 33 people, including 11 women and 21 men, tested positive for drugs.
The police of Huong Thuy town are detaining three people, namely Ho Cong Nhat Quang; Le Cong Minh Hieu and Tran Van Anh Quan, for further investigation.
