Public Security Forces accomplish the mission of ensuring security and order during Tet holiday

Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang chaired a Lunar New Year meeting of the Ministry of Public Security to review the work of ensuring security and order during the 2026 Lunar New Year, and to roll out key tasks in the time to come, on February 23 in Hanoi.

Presenting a general report at the meeting, Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan stated that, strictly implementing the directions of the Party Central Committee, the Government and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, the Public Security Forces had successfully fulfilled the mission of ensuring security and order across the country during the 2026 Lunar New Year.

The Chief of the MPS Office reported that public security units and agencies had closely monitored the security and order situation, proactively prevented potential security risks as well as promptly detected and handled factors affecting security and order early and at the grassroots level, denying any strategic surprise or unexpected incidents from arising.

Delivering concluding remarks, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Minister Luong Tam Quang commended the entire Public Security Forces for their hard-working spirit, the determination, sense of responsibility and tireless efforts for a peaceful Tet holiday for the people.

Regarding the forces’ key tasks in the coming period, the Minister requested all public security units and agencies to mobilize maximum forces to ensure security and order for Spring festivals and for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.

He also stressed the need to immediately implement the Action Program issued by the Public Security Central Party Committee on the implementation of the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, noting that all public security units and agencies should deploy and execute all work plans in a swift and effective manner from the very first days and months of 2026.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, Minister Luong Tam Quang extended his best regards to all public security officers, non-commissioned officers, enlistees and workers, wishing that the entire Public Security Forces would have a new year filled with big successes, outstanding fulfillment of their assigned tasks and continued trust from the Party, the State and the people.
