PSN presents Tet gifts to needy families in Kon Tum

PSNews - The Public Security Newspaper in collaboration with the Kon Tum Provincial Police and the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) presented 100 Tet gifts (worth VND 500,000 each) to needy families in the border communes of Sa Loong and Dak Ang, Ngoc Hoi district, Kon Tum province.

Colonel Pham Khai, Deputy Editor in Chief of the Public Security Newspaper stated that, thanks to the priority policies of the Party and State, the Central Highlands provinces have seen many positive changes, and people's lives have continuously been improved.

However, people in remote and border areas still face many difficulties. Over the past years, the Public Security Newspaper and donors have supported and cared for people in the Central Highlands in both spiritual and material terms.

Mr. A Beng (60 years old) who lives in Dak Vang hamlet, Sa Loong border commune, Ngoc Hoi district shared that: "There are 9 people in my family. I will save this gift including 20kg of rice and other food products for the upcoming lunar New Year festival, not for normal days".

Mr. Y Den (80 years old) who lives in Dak Sut 2 hamlet said that he was very happy to receive Tet gifts from the Public Security Newspaper, and expressed his thank to journalist of the Public Security Newspaper and donors.

Deputy Secretary of the Dak Ang Commune Party Committee stated that this charitable programme of the Public Security Newspaper and other donors was significant, upholding the Vietnamese tradition "Whole leaves wrap torn leaves."

Before saying goodbye to local people, Colonel Pham Khai wished all people in Sa Loong and Dak Ang communes a happy and prosperous New Year.

The same day, the Public Security Newspaper, the Kon Tum Provincial Police and the Dak Glei District Police handed over 2 gratitude houses to Mr. A Ne and Mr. Ane - two retired policemen who live with difficulties.
