Police officer honored as HCMC outstanding young citizen

PSNews – Senior Lieutenant Tran Vinh Chien, an officer of the Counter-Narcotics Police Division under the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department was named as one of the 12 oustanding young citizens of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) in 2022.

In 2022, Senior Lieutenant Tran Vinh Chien has received various awards from the Director of the HCMC Police Department for his excellent achievements in investigating drug trafficking cases.

At the honoring ceremony held on the first day of 2023, Senior Lieutenant Tran Vinh Chien was honored by the city’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union among the city’s 12 oustanding young citizens in 2022.

Along with Senior Lieutenant Tran Vinh Chien, the secretary of the Youth Union chapter of the Long Hoa Border Guard Station Lieutenant Huynh Truong Bao Son was another officer of armed forces who was entiled.

The 12 honored young faces in 2022 had been selected among 112 OK9 Cabidates from 43 agencies and units in HCMC.

This year’s 12 honored faces represent a young generation of the city's aspiration, bravery, innovation and creativity. They belong to today’s youngresponsible generation, ready to devote themselves to the community and maintain the peaceful life of the people.

The annual honoring event has been organized by the HCMC Youth Union for 17 years. So far, the organization has honored 137 young role models for their outstanding contributions to the city’s development and achievements in education and training, scientific research, manufacturing, healthcare, national defense and security, literature and art, social work, and youth union work.
