This was part of the events to mark the 55th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam – Cambodian diplomatic relations (June 26, 1967 – 2022).

Over the past years, the police from the Vietnamese province of An Giang and Cambodian police forces of Taikeo and Kandal provinces have strengthened bilateral cooperation in all areas, especially in crime prevention and combat.

The two sides also coordinated to protect important political, social and cultural events, including the inauguration of border landmarks and Long Binh – Chrey Thom Bridge in 2017, and co-held various bilateral exchange events.

Speaking at the meeting held, chiefs of the police forces of the two Cambodian provinces appreciated the close and effective coordination of the An Giang Provincial Police Department in crime prevention and combat along the shared border lines.

They also thanked the An Giang Provincial Police Department for its large support for the police forces in Takeo and Kandal during the COVID-19 pandemic.
