Since the beginning of 2024, under the sound leadership of the Public Security Central Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security and local Party committees and authorities, police departments of the 13 Southwestern provinces have synchronously implemented the tasks of Party building, force building as well as ensuring security and order in accordance with the actual situation in each province.

At the meeting, delegates discussed a number of issues regarding personnel work, financial work, political work and inspection, as well as proposed key approaches to complete the provincial-level police units’ tasks by the end of the year and in the coming time.

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To affirmed that the tasks of building the Party organization and building truly clean, strong Public Security Forces serve as a prerequisite for the Public Security Forces to excellently fulfill the core mission of ensuring security and order, contributing to maintaining political stability and developing an orderly, disciplined, safe and healthy society, while facilitating the country’s socio-economic development and diplomacy.

The Deputy Minister requested that police units and agencies should thoroughly grasp and effectively carry out all key policies, solutions and breakthroughs on Party building and force building, while specifying the content of Party building and force building work, and drafting detailed plans to effectively implement this work.

The Deputy Minister also stressed the need to further develop the communal-level police force to meet the force’s task requirements in the new situation and have sufficient capacity to address security and order-related issues from the beginning at the grassroots level.

In addition, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To also asked Southwestern provincial police departments to proactively grasp the situation and proactively advise the local authorities to address emerging issues, so as to avoid any strategic surprise in all situations and prevent the formation of security hotspots.
