PSNews - Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long had a meeting with the Dien Bien Provincial Police Department and under-ministerial departments to review a recent line-up and marching drill of the columns of the Public Security Forces in preparation for the armed forces parade in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, on May 3rd, in Dien Bien.

At the meeting, representatives from the Dien Bien Provincial Police Department and relevant under-ministerial departments reported on the results of the implementation of their assignments as well as discussed issues found after the rehearsal.

According to the reports, the Dien Bien Provincial Police Department had deployed officers with modern equipment and facilities to the traffic routes, event locations, especially inside the Dien Bien Phu city’s stadium, to ensure absolute security and safety for the coming celebration.

Local police forces also closely coordinated with other relevant forces to strictly and synchronously implement plans on ensuring security and safety for the event.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long highly appreciated and commended the great effort of the Dien Bien Provincial Police Department and related under-ministerial departments in implementing security and safety plans.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long underscored that the rehearsal reflected good and responsible training of participating forces for the parade.

He also asked the Dien Bien Provincial Police Department and under-ministerial departments to effectively implement directions of leaders the Ministry of Public Security, proactively grasp the security situation in the province, and promptly reported leaders the Ministry of Public Security on issues arising while drawing up comprehensive plans and seeking efficient approaches to ensure absolute security and safety for the gathering venues and temporary residences of Party and State leaders during the event.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long asked neighboring provincial police departments to maintain traffic order and safety, control the traffic during the celebration and strictly handle all violations, while ensuring safety for people visiting Dien Bien during the event.

On this occasion, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long visited and presented gifts to the People’s Police Academy’s cadets participating in the drum performance in the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.
