Prime Minister (PM) Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended and delivered a keynote speech at the conference. The event also saw the presence of Mr. Tran Quoc Vuong, Member of the Politburo, Standing Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-corruption.

At the conference, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong delivered a report on the results of anti-corruption activities conducted by the Public Security Forces since 2013.

According to reports, investigation agencies at all levels under the MPS have prosecuted 1,856 corruption cases with 4,072 people involved and recovered nearly VND19,500 billion of corrupt money and over 290,000 sqm of wrongly used land.

Regarding administrative reforms, since 2015, the MPS has respectively annual and simplified 70 administrative procedures and 69 others.

Speaking at the conference, PM Phuc praised the Public Security Forces for their achievements in anti-corruption over the past years.

He emphasized that, in the coming time, the forces should promote the efficiency of anti-corruption work as well as overcome all of their shortcomings and limitations in preventing and combating corruption, contributing to the country's socio-economic development.

To conclude the conference, on behalf of the MPS’s leadership and the Public Security Forces, Minister To Lam thanked leaders of the Party and State for their recognition of the forces’ efforts in fighting corruption. He affirmed that the MPS will direct the entire Public Security Forces to follow the directions of the Party and State’s leaders so as to prevent and fight corruption more effectively.
