People's Police University of Technology and Logistics opens new academic year

The People's Police University of Technology and Logistics (PPUTL), on October 9, held a ceremony to open the 2019-2020 school year in Bac Ninh province. Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended and delivered a speech at the event.

In the 2018-2019 school year, the PPUTLhas successfully fulfilled its training and educational tasks while actively expanded cooperation with various training and research institutions and professional units inside and outside the Public Security Forces. Particularly, 11 teachers of the university won prizes at the ministerial-level excellent public security teacher contest while over 20 students won high prizes at various national competitions. 

The university now has 02 Associate Professors, 22 PhDs and 167 Masters. 

With these achievements, the PPUTL has been awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Ministry of Public Security while two of its units have been granted the Emulation Flag. Additionally, a number of its units have been praised for their excellent task performance, including a OK9 Cabidate for the Certificate of Merit awarded by the Prime Minister.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang acknowledged the efforts and appreciated the achievements of the PPUTL in the previous school year.

Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang urged the university to focus on Party and force building as well as to strengthen solidarity among its officers, teachers, students, soldiers and workers, while continuing to observe the discipline and order, building cultural lifestyles and implementing the movement “Building on the People’s Police officers’ manners of bravery, humanity and devotedness to the people”.

The university should also develop training programs and plans to meet the requirements of practical operations of the public security technology and logistics sector in the current circumstance. The university should continuously renovate both training contents and methods as well as actively and effectively apply scientific and technological advances and latest knowledge to its training programs. Additionally, it should expand international cooperation with prestigious educational and training institutions, especially those of ASEAN countries, to improve the quality of its training, scientific research and technology transfer.
