MPS seeks ways to enhance cooperation with press and media agencies

PSNews – The Office of Ministry of Public Security (MPS) in December held a seminar on improving the coordination efficiency in disseminating police work.

The seminar saw the presence of Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Major General To An Xo, Chief of the MPS’s Office. Major General Tran Duc Tuan, Deputy Chief of the MPS’s Office chaired the event.

The event also saw the presence of leaders of press and media units under the MPS, and leaders of other press and media outside the force, such as Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper, Vietnam Television (VTV), Voice of Vietnam (VOV), People’s Army Newspaper, Government Web Portal, Ministry of National Defense Web Portal, Dai Doan Ket Newspaper, VnExpress, Vietnamnet.

The seminar aimed at improving the efficiency of coordination between the MPS Office and the press and media inside and outside the Public Security Forces.

 At the seminar, participants discussed issues that had drawn much interest from the press and media. They all agreed that it was necessary to promote the fight against false allegations and distorted information made by hostile forces against the Public Security Forces. They also sought approaches to enhance and promote the dissemination of police work on press and media platforms in the time to come.

The delegates also agreed that effective dissemination and information would contribute to maintaining security and order, holding back social evils, and building strong, clean, regular, elite and modern Public Security Forces.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang thanked all press and media agencies for their support for the MPS in ensuring political security and social order over the past time. He also hoped that the press and media will coordinate closely with the MPS, particularly the MPS Office in disseminating police work in the coming time.

He stressed that, the press and media should further reflect good deeds and good exemplary persons in the Public Security Forces, contributing to improving the beautiful image of the police officer in society.
