MPS honored 18 outstanding groups with great achievements in November

PSNews – The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on December 2 held a monthly briefing to review the outcomes of the public security work in November and to roll out key tasks for December.

  • Fire police honors typical individuals and organizations
  • MPS intimately met NA members and artisans from the Central Highlands provinces

The event chaired by Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security and also saw the participations of members of the Central Public Security Party Committee (CPSPC); representatives of General Departments, High Commands, Units and the Hanoi Municipal Police.

Briefing on the situation and the results of the public security work in November, Lieutenant General Nguyen Danh Cong, Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security said the Public Security Forces have consistently followed directions of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly and the CPSPC, well performed their functions as an advisor and coordinator with ministries, branches and localities, and played its core role in preventing, detecting and effectively fighting hostile forces’ sabotage activities  and crimes of various kinds.

The public security forces have ensured absolute safety for Party and State leaders, international delegations and all important political, cultural and social events of the country, he added.

Management, prevention and fight against illegal uses of weapons, explosives and supporting tools were enhanced. The forces have detected 15 cases of firecracker trafficking, arrested 12 offenders and seized nearly one ton of firecrackers.

The CPSPC and MPS also paid due attention to Party building and building of the People’s Public Security Forces. In November, the Ministry of Public Security has honored 18 groups for their outstanding achievements.

At the event, the Ministry of Public Security has also decided to allocate nearly VND 9 billion from its Fund “Comradeship” to support six central provinces to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

In conclusion, on behalf of the CPSPC and the Ministry of Public Security, Minister To Lam acknowledged and praised the endeavors of all forces in implementing their assigned task in November.

The Minister of Public Security also asked all units to bring into play the obtained results, to continue to strictly implement the directions of the Party, the Government, the National Assembly and the Ministry of Public security in order to ensure national security and social order, especially during the upcoming Tet Dinh Dau 2017.
