MPS celebrates 90th founding anniversary of Vietnam Communist Party

The Public Security Central Party Committee (PSCPC) on January 31 held a meeting to celebrate the 90th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam  (CPV) (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2020).

The event also saw the presence of General Le Hong Anh, former Politburo's Member, former Minister of Public Security; Mr. Vo Van Phuong, Member of the Party Central Committee: Standing Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information and Education, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, Deputy Minister of Public Security; and  Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security, as well as former leaders and high-ranking incumbents of various units under the MPS.

Speaking at the event, Minister To Lam stated that the birth of CPV marked a great milestone in Vietnam’s revolutionary history. Over the past 90 years, the Party has led the Vietnamese people to overcome all difficulties and challenges, defeat all enemies and achieve numerous successes in all aspects of national socio-economic development.

According to Minister To Lam, the PSCPC and the People's Public Security Forces (PPSF) have made outstanding contributions to the Party's glorious revolution. 

Established in 1946 and formerly known as Public Security Central Party Cell with only nine members under the Party Central Committee, over 74 years, the public security Party organization has now become an excellent Party organization under the Party Central Committee with over 66,000 Party members.

Minister To Lam emphasizedthat the PSCPC and its subordinate Party Committees at all levels attached great importance to Party and force building, considering it a key task in performing their assigned missions.

On this occasion, Minister To Lam presented bouquets to senior revolutionaries of the PPSF, who have joined the Party for exact 70 or 80 years. The Minister also presented insignias to Department-level leaders who are Party members who had their Party membership of 30 or 40 years.

Deputy Minister Le QuyVuong awarded certificates of merit to five units and five individuals representing 39 units and 85 individuals who have contributed to the Party building.

Earlier, Minister To Lam leading a delegation of the PSCPC offered incense and laid flowers at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial. President Ho Chi Minh is the great leader of the Vietnamese people, Hero of the International National Liberation Movement, Great Man of Culture, Founder of the CPV and the Beloved Commander of the Vietnam People's Armed Forces.
