MPS celebrates 63rd founding anniversary of People’s Police Force

The Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) solemnly held a meeting to celebrate the 63rd founding anniversary of the People’s Police Force (July 20, 1962 – 2025), on July 17, in Hanoi.

Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang chaired the meeting.

At the event, delegates recalled the heroic and glorious tradition of the People’s Public Security Forces in general and the People’s Police Force in particular in the cause of safeguarding national security and ensuring social order and safety.

Senior police veterans also shared their deep insights and valuable experiences in maintaining public order and building the Public Security Forces.

Addressing the meeting, Minister Luong Tam Quang extended best regards to current and former leaders of the MPS, generals, Heroes of the People’s Armed Forces, senior officers of the People’s Police Force in diferent revolutionary periods.

Highlighting the achievements of the People’s Police Force throughout its 63-year journey, the Minister emphasized that retired public security personnel, particularly former police commanders and high-ranking officers, had made significant contributions to every success of the People’s Public Security Forces.

He stressed that in order to meet their increasingly demanding tasks ahead, the Public Security Forces need not only the dedication and resolve of every active-duty officer, but also the practical experience and wisdom of former MPS leaders, retired generals and senior officers of the People’s Police Force.

Minister Luong Tam Quang expressed his hope that successive generations of public security leaders and officers, especially from the People’s Police Force, would continue to contribute their insights to the building of the Public Security Forces, encouraging the current generation of police officers to uphold the force’s heroic tradition and achieve even greater accomplishments in the future.
