Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang chaired a ceremony to announce the President’s decisions on rank promotion for four deputy ministers, on the morning of June 14, in Hanoi.

At the ceremony, a representative of the Department of Organization and Personnel announced the President’s decisions to promote Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Tan Toi, Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Van Tuyen and Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Van Long from the rank of Lieutenant General to Senior Lieutenant General, as well as the decision to promote Deputy Minister of Public Security Dang Hong Duc from the rank of Major General to Lieutenant General.

Congratulating the deputy ministers on their new rank promotion, Minister Luong Tam Quang affirmed that the promotion reflected the Party and State’s special care for the Public Security Forces, as well as the recognition by the Party, the State, the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security of their significant contributions to the Public Security Forces.

The Minister expressed his hope that the newly promoted Deputy Ministers would continue to uphold their revolutionary ethics, be absolutely loyal to the Homeland, the Party, the State and the people, and constantly build on their capacity for all professional work, especially strategic thinking on national security and defense.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc expressed his special thanks to the leaders of the Party and State, the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security for their care and support, and vowed to make every effort to fulfill the responsibilities entrusted by the Party, the State, the Minister and the Public Security Central Party Committee.
