Ministry of Public Security honors teams and individuals of Vietnam Television

PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security on September 7 held a meeting in Hanoi to celebrate 50 years of the Vietnam Television's (VTV) first television broadcast (September 7, 1970-2020) and present Certificates of Merit to teams and individuals with large contributions to the cooperation between the VTV and the Ministry of Public Security.

General To Lam, Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security, chaired the meeting. The event also saw the presence of Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security, and representatives of various units under the Ministry of Public Security.

The meaningful meeting was held on the occasion of the 75thfounding anniversary of the People's Public Security Forces (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2020),the 15th “All People Protecting National Security” Festive Day (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2020), and the 50th anniversary of the first television broadcast of VTV (September 7, 1970 - September 7, 2020).

According to Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang, over the past years, the VTV and the Ministry of Publci Security has cooperated effectively in disseminating information about the Public Security Forces’ efforts and achievements in the protection of national security and social order, as well as force building, the development of the “All people protect national security” movement and the protection of security and safety for the national television system.

Additionally, the Vietnam Television has broadcasted numerous television programs vividly reflecting the Public Security Forces’ activities and task performance results, thereby helping people better understand the fine traditions of the forces on one side, and uphold public security officers’ sense of responsibility for their assigned missions on the other hand. 

This has created close connections and relations between the Public Security Forces and Central agencies, branches, local authorities and people from all walks of life.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Minister To Lam congratulated the VTV on its important anniversary. 

He also thanked all leaders, reporters, and staff of the VTV and its Department of Arts for their important contributions to the development of the revolutionary press sector as well as the national defense and development cause.

On this occasion, Minister To Lam awarded Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Public Security to one team and five individuals from the VTV’s Department of Arts for their outstanding contributions to the coordination between the two agencies in organizing  activities celebrating the 75th founding anniversary of the Public Security Forces and the 15th “All people protect national security” Festive Day.

* On the same day, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang leading a delegation of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security visited and presented flowers of congratulations to leaders of VTV on the 50th first VTV broadcast anniversary (September 7, 1970 - September 7, 2020) and leaders of the Vietnam News Agency on its 75th founding anniversary (September 15, 1945 - September 15, 2020).
