The Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council and the People's Committee to Tuyen Quang province held a ceremony on the morning of August 15, at August 19 Square, Minh Thanh commune, Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang, to conclude the program to support poor households and policy families in the province to build their homes.

The ceremony was attended by Politburo member and Minister of Public Security General To Lam, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Chau Van Lam, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Le Thi Kim Dung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Son, as well as other delegates from the Ministry of Public Security and local agencies, and local people.

In April 2022, the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security had a policy to support the construction of 1,400 houses for poor households and policy households in Tuyen Quang province. The program was funded by the State Bank of Vietnam and sponsors.

After 3 months of implementation, 1,400 houses have been built and handed over to poor households and policy families in the province.

Speaking at the event, Minister To Lam expressed delight at the success in implementing the policy of building houses for poor households and policy families in the province, saying that it is a humane meaningful social policy. He also praised the sponsors, entrepreneurs and local authorities for their funding and effort for the implementation of the large project.

Minister To Lam offers gifts to representatives of the 1,400 policies families in Tuyen Quang province.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Minister To Lam thanked the concerned agencies, units and businesses for their great support for 1,400 poor families in Tuyen Quang, who now have solid and spacious houses to live in. They have contributed to beautifying the benevolent tradition of the Vietnamese nation, he added.

According to the Minister of Public Security, the project is part of the National Target Program on sustainable poverty reduction and a practical support for the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - Leaving no one behind" with the spirit of "Giving love to receive happiness".

Minister To Lam awards the Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Public Security to groups for their outstanding achievements in implementing the program on building houses for the poor.

Minister To Lam hoped that agencies, organizations, economic sectors and enterprises at all levels will continue to join hands and provide material and spiritual support for the People's Public Security Forces to effectively implement the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies and the Government’s programs on sustainable poverty reduction in localities across the country, including the building of houses for poor families and schools in Tuyen Quang province and other provinces.
