Minister To Lam receives German and Cambodian Ambassadors to Vietnam

PSNews - Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security met Mr. Christian Berger, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of German to Vietnam and Mr. Prak Nguon Hong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Vietnam on October 27 in Hanoi.

At the reception, Minister Lam hoped the German Ambassador would make further contribution to promoting relations between Vietnam and Germany at large and between the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of Vietnam and German law enforcement forces in particular, to be on a par with the Vietnam - Germany strategic partnership.

To this end, the two sides need to enhance exchange of high-ranking delegations, boost cooperation in various areas, including personnel training and improvement of cadres’ abilities, and prevention of terrorism, organized crimes and illegal migration.

The German Ambassador thanked the host for the warm reception. He stressed that Vietnam is an importance partner of Germany, noting that he would try his best to promote the fine strategic partnership between the two countries as well as cooperation between the MPS of Vietnam and Germany’s law enforcement agencies.

On the same day, Minister Lam also welcomed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cambodia Prak Nguon Hong. The Vietnamese Minister spoke highly of the important role of the Cambodian Embassy in Vietnam in maintaining and developing cooperative ties between the two nations and between the MPS of Vietnam and Cambodian relevant agencies.

General Lam hoped the Cambodian Ambassador would further strengthen fine bilateral traditional relations and multifaceted cooperation in the time to come.

Regarding cooperation between the MPS of Vietnam and Ministry of Interior of Cambodia, the host noted the bilateral cooperation has developed in both width and depth.

The Cambodian Ambassador expressed his delight at recent positive developments in bilateral traditional friendly ties and large fruits  of cooperation in various areas between the two sides. He hoped that relations between the MPS of Vietnam and Cambodian related agencies would see further development in the future, in terms of social order and safety and prevention of crimes.

The Ambassador committed himself to striving for closer bilateral friendly relations and more comprehensive cooperation.
