Congratulating Mr. Na Ki Hong on his appointment as General Director of Samsung Vietnam, Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that the flourishing partnership between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) provides a solid foundation for Samsung’s investment and operations in Vietnam.

The host also regarded Samsung Vietnam as a highlight of economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.

Minister Luong Tam Quang highly appreciated the results of Samsung’s investment and business in Vietnam over the years, saying that the company has had numerous research and production projects focusing on high-tech applications, making a significant contribution to Vietnam’s economic development goals.

Underscoring Vietnam’s priority for breakthroughs in digital transformation and high-tech development as the country enters a new era of national growth, the Vietnamese Minister of Public Security suggested that Samsung Vietnam attach greater importance to fully complying with the Vietnamese laws, particularly those related to labor, taxation, and fire safety.On this occasion, Minister Luong Tam Quang proposed that the RoK enterprise strengthen cooperation with the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in training personnel in information technology and artificial intelligence, as well as support the ministry in applying advanced technologies in safeguarding its national security.

Additionally, the Minister called on Samsung Vietnam to continue its scholarship programs, provide training equipment for the ministry, as well as fund for social initiatives in healthcare, education and environmental protection in the country.

In 2024, Samsung Vietnam recorded a total revenue of 62.5 billion USD and an export turnover of 54.4 billion USD, the General Director of Samsung Vietnam said, adding that Samsung Vietnam will make every effort this year to contribute positively to the Vietnamese Government’s target of over 8% economic growth.
