Overview of the meeting.

The Working Group on Implementing the Government-led Project to Apply Population, Identification and Electronic Authentication Data to National Digital Transformation in the period 2022-2025 with a vision toward 2030 (Project 06) had a working session with the Hanoi Steering Committee for Administrative Reform, Digital Transformation and Project 06 to review the implementation of key tasks of Project 06 in the city over the past time, on November 21st, in Hanoi.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, Permanent Deputy Head of the Project 06 Working Group and Member of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Hanoi Tran Sy Thanh, Head of the Hanoi Steering Committee for Administrative Reform, Digital Transformation and Project 06, co-chaired the working session.

According to reports delivered at the meeting, in 2024, the Hanoi People’s Committee issued hundreds of guiding documents directing its departments, branches and districts on implementing key tasks of Project 06, which resulted in numerous remarkable achievements.

Notably, after 4 months of launching the iHanoi application, 1,043,724 users have registered their accounts on the application. The Hanoi authority has received 17,083 feedbacks and recommendations from people and businesses via the application, of which 14,398 feedbacks and requests have been processed, accounting for 84.3%.

Regarding the implementation of Electronic Health Books and Electronic Health Records on the VNeID application, Hanoi is the first locality in the country to complete the pilot of Electronic Health Books on the application.

At the meeting, delegates from Hanoi’s departments, branches and districts also proposed a number of approaches to implement Project 06 in a more effective manner in the coming time.

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the Project 06 Working Group, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long highly appreciated the achievements of Hanoi in implementing Project 06 over the past time.

In the coming time, the Deputy Minister proposed that the Hanoi People’s Committee continue to promote its pioneering role in fulfilling the remaining tasks of Project 06, especially soon completing digitalizing and verifying data in citizens’ judicial records, so as to shorten the time for issuing judicial record certificates to people.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh requested that all departments, branches and districts should heighten their sense of responsibility and pay due attention to fulfilling the assigned tasks according to the principles of clear officials in charge, clear tasks, clear deadlines, clear responsibility and clear results.

The Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee also stressed the need to enhance transparency, efficiency and professionalism in administrative reforms, underlining that transparency should be considered as a key factor to promote self-correction as well as improve the effectiveness of the administrative reform.
