Mr. Dinh Tien Dung, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hanoi, on August 18 worked with the Municipal Police Department of Hanoi.

The event also saw the presence of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee, Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh, Chairman of the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee and leaders of relevant local agencies.

Major General Dao Thanh Hai, Vice Director of the Hanoi Municipal Police Department, briefed the delegates on outcomes of the task performances of the city’s police forces over the past 7 months as well as their work plans for the remaining months as well as their work of COVID-19 prevention and combat.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh applauded the efforts of the municipal police in ensuring political security, social order and safety, and in preventing and controlling the COVID-19 pandemic.

In his remarks, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee of Hanoi Dinh Tien Dung urged the city’s police to promote Party building work, strictly and effectively implement all resolutions of the Politburo on Party work.

An overview of the working session.  

The municipal police should also take measures to prevent and fight crimes, focusing on investigation of serious criminal cases, cases related to black credit, crimes against children, corruption and smuggling.

They should make especial effort to prevent and combat the COVID-19 and crimes during and after the social distancing time.

The city’s leader finally requested the local police to enhance the management of residence, exit and entry of both Vietnamese and foreigners, as well as the management of conditional business lines, weapons, explosives and combatting gears.
