Hanoi City Police Department receives fourth “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” title

The Hanoi City Police Department solemnly held a ceremony, on the afternoon of December 27, 2025, to receive the noble title “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” for the fourth time.

At the event, the police department also officially launched the “Three Bests” emulation movement under the theme “Upholding the Heroic Tradition, Serving the People through Action.”

Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang attended and delivered remarks at the ceremony.

Earlier, on the same morning, at the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress, Party General Secretary To Lam, on behalf of the Party and State leadership, presented the title “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” to the Hanoi City Police Department.

Speaking at the celebration, Minister Luong Tam Quang congratulated the Hanoi City Police Department on its fourth noble title, hailing the local police’s outstanding achievements over the years.

He highlighted that security and order in the capital city has been firmly maintained in recent years, with the crime rate steadily reduced year by year, thereby contributing to promoting the image of Hanoi as a “City for Peace” and preserving its position widely recognized by the international community and foreign visitors as one of the world’s leading safe and secure capital cities.

The Minister emphasized that the first and foremost objective of ensuring security and order is to create a healthy environment for national socio-economic development and to contribute meaningfully to the realization of the goals set out by the upcoming 14th National Party Congress and the Party’s major guidelines and strategies.

He stressed that this mission represents both responsibility and honor for the local police, and it provides a chance for the Public Security Forces in general and the Hanoi Capital Police Force in particular to continue making important contributions to safeguarding security and order and advancing the Party’s revolutionary cause.

Minister Luong Tam Quang expressed his confidence that, with its pride of having received the Hero of the People’s Armed Forces title for four times, the Hanoi Capital Police Force will overcome difficulties and challenges, create new breakthroughs and milestones in all areas of work, and make an even greater contribution to the cause of safeguarding security and order and building and defending the Fatherland, always deserving the title “the heroic Capital Police Force of the heroic Vietnamese Public Security Forces” as well as the trust of the Party, the State and the People.
