GDP reviews task performance in H1 and kicks off assignments in H2

The General Department of Politics (GDP) held a conference on July 4 to review task performance in the first half (H1) of 2017 and kick off mission for H2 of the year under the chair of Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Nam, Deputy Director of the general department.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security attended the event.   

At the conference, Major General Nguyen Quang Chu, Deputy Director of the GDP, ran over the main contents of the conference, briefed participants on such issues as force building, inspection, Party, and supervision work of the GDP Party Organization.

He then delivered a special report on reviewing the six years of implementation of the Inspection Law within the GDP.

In the first six months of 2017, the GDP Party Organization and leaders strictly instructed functional units to successfully fulfill key tasks outlined in the Resolution of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Resolution of the GDP Party Organization.

Particularly, the GDP promptly advised and given proposals to leaders of the Ministry of Public Security to thoroughly grasp and implement guidelines and policies of the Party and the State. 

It also well-organized political and traditional education activities with an aim to raise political stance of officers and soldiers, building a firm foundation for the implementation of tasks in H2 of 2017.

Each unit of the GDP well implemented the principles of centralized democracy and self-criticism, renovated leadership style, practiced thrift and administrative reform, and took good care of living standard of officers and soldiers.

Under the chair of Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Nam, delegates discussed and provided comments to the report of the GDP; thoroughly reviewed and closely evaluated outcomes reached in H1 so as to pointed out best solutions with an aim of successfully fulfilling all assignments in H2 of 2017.  

On behalf of the Central Public Security Party Committee and leaders of the Public Security Ministry, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh hailed achievements of the GDP in H1 of 2017.

Agreeing with key tasks for H2 of 2017 outlined by the General Department of Politics, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh emphasized that all units, particularly those of the General Department of Politics, should focus on the implementation of the Fourth Resolution of the 12th Party Central Committee.

The GDP and the whole public security force should streamline and complete the organizational structure of the force and be transparent in personnel work.

Besides, units should reassess the implementation of the movement “Building the image of brave and humane police officers in people’s heart”.

Public security education institutions should continuously improve their training quality and effectiveness in line with practical situations.

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Vietnam’s Wounded Soldiers' and Martyrs' Day (July 27), all units should well organize activities in celebration of the event and promote gratitude activities for national contributors and their relatives.

Authorized by Party and State leaders, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh presented the Prime Minister’s certificate of merit to the Disciplinary Inspection Board of the Party Organization of the GDP;

handed over the Inspection Commemoration Medal of the Government’s Inspectorate-General to Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Muoi, Deputy Director of the GDP; 

and presented the certificate of merit of the Public Security Ministry to Major General Mai Van Ha, Deputy Director of the GDP.
