Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son works with Vinh Phuc Provincial Police

PSNews – Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security leading a mission paid a working visit to the Vinh Phuc Provincial Police on April 20th.

Major Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Lang, Director of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Police briefed on the local security and order situation in the first quarter of 2017, stressing that crime has been under controlled and social order has been maintained without any serious issues.

The provincial police completed the investigation into 88 cases (equal 89.9%) with 116 suspects, seized exhibits worth 1 billion VND. Environmental law violations were mainly related to food hygiene and safety. The traffic situation was however complicated with 9 cases in which 8 people died and 5 other injured. So the number of traffic accidents rose3 cases but the number of traffic casualties reduced 23 victims, compared to last year.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son and Chairman of the Vinh Phuc Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Tri highly appreciated the achievements of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Police in the past time. The “All people protecting national security” movement continue to have been maintained, while communal police has promoted the key role in ensuring security and order in locality.

Regarding traffic order and safety, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son also required the Vinh Phuc provincial police force to drastically handle overloaded vehicles and violation cases that directly cause traffic accidents. Relevant forces should keep daily contacts with local people, and the traffic police force should treat people well when communicating with them to build up people’s trust in the public security forces.
