Deputy Minister of Public Security Major General Le Van Tuyen had a meeting on March 29 with leaders of the Department of Construction and Barrack Management.

Director of the department, Major General Le Van Long, briefed the Deputy Minister on its task performance over the past time, saying that, despite complicated developments and negative social impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Construction and Barrack Management well performed its function of managing the construction of barracks, housing projects and land belonging to the Ministry of Public Security.

Additionally, the department advised leaders of the Party, State, and the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) to gradually improve the legal framework for construction and management of barracks for public security agencies and units.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen asked the department to study and propose designs of homogenous headquarters of public security agencies and units from the ministerial level to communal.

It was also asked to inspect the management and use of land as well as headquarters, housing projects, and workplaces of the public security agencies and local police units while studying bidding procedures for MPS’s construction projects on the basis of publicity and transparency.

The Deputy Minister requested the department to pay due attention to Party and force building as well as enforcement of Party discipline.
