Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung works with Tra Vinhprovincial police on security and disease control

Major General Le Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Public Security (MPS), Commander of the MPS Front Command based in Ho Chi Minh City, on September 25th, worked with the Tra Vinh Provincial Police Department on preventing and controlling COVID-19, as well as ensuring security and social order.

At the meeting with the Tra Vinh police, Senior Colonel Vu Hoai Bac, Director of the Tra Vinh Provincial Police Department briefed the deputy minister and delegates on results of fighting the pandemic and ensuring local security, stating that, over the past time, Tra Vinh province has controlled the pandemic.

So far, only 5 areas have still been locked down, down by 100 areas compared to the beginning of the disease outbreak. Although the locality started implementing Directive 15, Tra Vinh still maintained 15 inter-sectoral checkpoints, 18 others checkpoints at “red zones”, 176 patrol teams and 131 inter-sectoral quick response teams.

On behalf of the MPS, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung praised the local police forces of Tra Vinh for their effort in preventing and controlling COVID-19 as well as ensuring security, social order and safety in their localities. Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung also asked the Tra Vinh police to continue their key roles in preventing and controlling COVID-19 while ensuring absolute political security, social order and controlling crimes in the localities.

* On this occasion, the MPS’s Front Command presented medical supplies and dry food for the local disease control forces.
