After only a few days, the local police forces took various professional measures to combat crimes and achieved big success.

The Criminal Police Office under the Provincial Police Department in coordination with the Tu Son Police Station successfully cracked down on a case related to a large gambling and usury network, arresting five suspects of throwing dirty waste into Nguyen Thi Ngoc’s house to demand payment of their debt.

The provincial police forces investigated 12 drug-related cases and arrested 16 persons involved in illegal trade and storage of drugs. The police of Tien Du district arrested Dao Duc Tung, 39, for illegally trading drugs and seized 12 grams of synthetic drugs in place.

Meanwhile, the police of Tu Son town also arrested two persons involved in a drug trafficking case and seized 4 grams of synthetic drugs and many knives on spot.

As the campaign will last through Spring 2020, the Bac Ninh provincial police forces will continue taking professional measures to prevent and suppress crimes, social evils and law violations, to ensure public security and order before, during and after the traditional Tet as well as during other Spring festivals in the province.
