Trade union chapter of General Department of Politics reviews its work

PSNews – The Trade Union chapter of the General Department of Politics held a conference on January 30 to review the trade union mission performance in 2017 and deploy its plans for 2018. Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics, Major General Nguyen Quang Chu, attended the conference.

Pham Manh Tuong, President of the Trade Union chapter of the General Department of Politics said that, in 2017, under the guidance of leaders of the General Department of Politics and the Staff Department for Political Affairs, it raised the quality of its activities.

Many emulation movements and campaigns were concertized and spread across the public security forces. The movements with positive results include the photo contest "Beauty of the Trade Union Chapter of the General Department of Politics", or "Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morals and style".

In particular, the Trade Union chapter of the General Department of Politics was honored to receive the Emulation Flag of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) for its outstanding achievements in 2017.

Speaking at the conference, Major General Nguyen Quang Chu praised the efforts and achievements of the chapter in 2017. He also urged the chapter to continuously promote political and ideological education and dissemination to each member while promoting and protecting the interests of its members as well as labours.

At the conference, leaders of the Trade Union chapter of the General Department of Politics and the Ministry of Public Security presented certificates of merit to individuals and organizations for their outstanding achievements in 2017.
