The meeting, which also saw the participation of Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, member of the PCC, Deputy Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, focused discussion on the implementation of Resolution No. 04 and Regulation No. 08 issued by the 12th PCC on the responsibility for setting examples of officials and Party members.

The Party Committee of the Public Security Department for Information and Communications, established in October 2018, leads the Party organization of the Public Security Newspaper, Center for Radio, Television and Film, and the Publishing House of the Public Security Forces.

Meanwhile, the Public Security Department for Information and Communications is tasked to disseminate guidelines of the Party, policies of the State, resolutions of the Public Security Central Party Committee and directives of the Ministry off public Security on national security, public order and safety.

As the department serves as the voice of the Public Security Forces, its publications also reflect issues of public concern, operations of the Public Security Forces as well as fight wrong and hostile views to defend the Party's ideological basis and the Vietnamese revolution.

Over the past time, the Party Committee of the Department for Information and Communications has led its affiliates to seriously implement Resolution No. 04 and Regulation No. 08 regulating the responsibility for setting examples of officials and Party members.

The Party Committee of the Department for Information and Communications has also closely followed the guidelines and orientations on information and publication of the PCC’s Commission for Information and Education while leading its affiliates to perform their political tasks.

Speaking at the event, Head of the PCC’s Commission for Information and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia praised the achievements of the Party Committee of the Department for Information and Communications in leading its subordinate Party organization to perform their tasks of popularizing policies of the Party and the State to the Public Security Forces and the people, saying it has significantly contributed to the cause of protecting national security and public order and safety.

Head of the PCC’s Commission for Information and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia also spoke highly of the public security sector’s effort in spreading good examples of the movement of “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morals and style” and multiplying examples of good people and good deeds while strongly criticizing social evils and wrongdoings.

Stressing the importance of Resolution No. 04 and Regulation No. 08 determining the responsibility for setting examples of officials and Party members, Head of the PCC’s Commission for Information and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia asked the Party Committee of the Department for Information and Communications to continue upholding the role of the leaders of units in setting examples for their subordinates.

He asked the public security press sector to continue to disseminate guidelines of the Party, especially the content of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s speech at the recent meeting of the Government; as well as other action programs and resolutions of the Central Public Security Party Committee.

At the event, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister of Public Security Tran Quoc To recognized and appreciated the achievements gained by the Party Committee of the Department for Information and Communications as well as the fruitful outcomes of the public security press sector over the past time.

He also requested the Party Committee and leaders of units under the department to enhance political education for their subordinate officers and Party members, and further criticize signs of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” in their units. Meanwhile, the public security sector was asked to further combat wrong and hostile views while spreading good exemplars across society.
