Public security press, media and publishing sector honored with Labor Medals

State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended and delivered a keynote speech at an event held by the Department for Information and Communication of Public Security on December 23 to mark the founding days of the Public Security Newspaper, Publishing House and Television.

The event took place in Hanoi under the chair of General To Lam, Politburo Member and Minister of Public Security. The ceremony also saw the presence of various leaders of Central branches, ministries and agencies, leaders and former leaders of the MPS, the Public Security Newspaper, Publishing House and Television.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To briefed delegates on the important milestones in the history of development of the Public Security Newspaper, Publishing House and Television.

At the celebration, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc awarded the First-class Labor Medal to the Public Security Newspaper; the Second-class Labor Medal to the Public Security Publishing House for their outstanding achievements in 2016-2020 period while the Third-class Labor Medal was presented to the Public Security Television for their outstanding achievements in disseminating the Party’s guidelines, the State’s laws and policies, and reflecting activities of the Public Security Forces, contributing to the cause of building and defending the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam.

On behalf of the Party, State leaders, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised the three units for their great achievements over the past time, highlighting that the given awards display the recognition by the Party and State of the efforts and contributions to the national cultural front of generations of officers, soldiers and staff members of the public security press, media and publishing agencies.

The President stated that the three main elements of the Public Security Department for Information and Communications should continue to enrich their glorious traditions, and make greater contributions to the cause of national security protection.

All reporters, editors, technicians, staff of the three units should restlessly be creative and innovative at work making more contribution, to building a powerful, prosperous Vietnam with democratic, equal and civilized society so as to be worthy of the trust of the Party, State, MPS and people.

On this occasion, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc presented a President Ho Chi Minh portrait to the Department for Information and Communication.
