Project 06 Working Group reviews task performance in February

The Working Group on Implementing the Project to Apply Population, Identification and Electronic Authentication Data to National Digital Transformation in the period 2022-2025 with a vision toward 2030 launched by the Government (Project 06) convened a regular meeting, on the afternoon of February 13th, 2025.

Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang, Head of the Project 06 Working Group, chaired the meeting.

According to reports at the meeting, over the past month, all member ministries and branches of the Working Group have proactively implemented their assigned tasks from the very beginning of 2025, even during the Lunar New Year holiday.

Particularly, the Ministry of Information and Communications advised the Government to issue Decree No. 163, which includes provisions on using electronic identification accounts for mobile service subscription.

The Ministry of Public Security, in coordination with the Office of the Party Central Committee and the Office of the Central Organization Commission, deployed software to monitor the process of Party congresses at all levels.

Additionally, several localities such as Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Ha Nam, Bac Giang, and Ho Chi Minh City have actively digitized land data and effectively reused digitized data to cut down administrative procedures in the field of residency management.

Later, under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long, delegates reported on results of the implementation of Project 06 in their respective units and localities, and proposed approaches to further enhance the effectiveness of Project 06 in the coming period.

Concluding the meeting, Minister Luong Tam Quang acknowledged and highly appreciated the strong determination and drastic direction of ministries, sectors, and localities in the implementation of Project 06 over the past time.

Regarding the implementation of Project 06 in the coming period, Minister Luong Tam Quang urged ministries, sectors and localities to cut down and even eradicate unnecessary administrative procedures to better serve citizens and businesses, and enhance the quality of the information system guiding the use of all online public services.

Additionally, ministries, branches, and sectors undergoing streamlining and restructuring processes should proactively develop plans to integrate and upgrade their administrative procedure management information systems, ensuring information security and safety while maintaining uninterrupted management, monitoring, reception, and processing of administrative procedures for citizens and businesses.
