MPS and VWU seek approaches to successfully implement joint resolution

PSNews–The Steering Committee of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) for Joint Resolution NQLT 01/TƯ held a conference to review 5 years of implementation of the joint resolution on raising public awareness of “Management and education of family members to avoid crimes and social evils.”

The event was co-chaired by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Chairwoman of the VWU and Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, Deputy Minister of Public Security.

The conference was also attended by various leaders and former leaders of the MPS and VWU and 450 delegates from relevant ministries and organizations.

Participants in the conference also discussed various issues relating the implementation of the resolution in the new period of 2017-2020,

The MPS and VWU also adopted and signed a Cooperation Plan between the two bodies with 5 main pillars.

Chairwoman of the VWU Nguyen Thi Thu Ha and Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong both recognized the success in bilateral coordination and joint activities over the past time, hailing the restless efforts of leaders of two bodies and the Steering Committees at all levels.

Deputy Minister Vuong asked the two sides to continue their directions on effective implementation of the joint resolution while enhancing the movement of “All people protecting national security” in the current context and relevant resolutions and decisions regarding crime prevention and fighting, security and order.

The Steering Committee also took the chance to honor winners of a writing contest named “For a happy family”, launched in April 2016.
