MPS and Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications promote cooperation

PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of Vietnam and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan on October 8 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the two ministries in fire prevention and fighting.

The event took place on the sidelines of the official visit of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc to Japan.

The Vietnamese delegation led by PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc to Japan includes two senior officials of the MPS, namely Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, Central Party Committee member, Deputy Minister of Public Security and Colonel Bui Quang Viet, Vice Director of the Police Department of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue.

In the presence of the two Prime Ministers, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, representing the MPS of Vietnam, and Mr. Masanobu Ogura, representing the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan, signed the MoU on cooperation in fire prevention and fighting.

The MoU will be implemented in different 3-year phases. 

The cooperation contents cover various aspects, including exchanging experience in mapping out fire prevention and fighting policies and sets of standards, criteria and qualifications; implementing activities and projects on human resource development and capacity building; facilitating the development of the cooperation between the two countries in the coming years.
