The meeting was attended by Politburo members, Party Central Committee members, leaders of central agencies, ministries as well as holders of the title “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” and “National Emulation Fighters” and other delegates to the 9th “For National Security” Emulation Congress.

Over the past five years, under the sound leadership of the Party and State, the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security have focused on renovating both content and form of emulation movements in alignment with political tasks of the Public Security Forces, while actively promoting and replicating exemplary models throughout the Public Security Forces.

During the meeting, participants had opportunity to listen to inspiring stories and exchange with outstanding officers of the Public Security Forces.

In his remarks, Party General Secretary To Lam warmly commended the development and achievements of the Public Security Forces and the proud outcomes of the “For National Security” emulation movement, saying that the emulation movement is closely linked to the nation’s development.

The General Secretary noted that the Public Security Forces have upheld their heroic traditions, effectively implemented patriotic emulation campaigns and excellently fulfilled their responsibilities of safeguarding national security and maintaining social order and safety, contributing to national peace, stability and the people’s well-being.

He expressed his hope that the Public Security Forces will continue to bring into full play their 80-year heroic tradition, embed the emulation spirit in daily work, and encouraged every officer and enlistee to make more contributions to their units, the Public Security Forces and the country at large.

peaking at the event, Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang pledged that the entire Public Security Forces will steadfastly adhere to the Party’s policies and strategies, especially the Politburo’s “Four Pillars” resolutions, while effectively operating the three-tiered organizational model of the Public Security Forces.

He also pledged that the Ministry of Public Security will firmly safeguard a peaceful and stable environment, creating favorable conditions for high-quality, rapid and sustainable national development, and further foster the patriotic emulation spirit and strong determination so as to accomplish all of their assigned tasks.
