“For Fatherland Security” movement reviewed

PSNews - Emulation Grouping 9 of the Public Security Ministry held a conference on November 10, at the Phu Quoc District Police’s Headquarters to review the movement “For Fatherland Security” in 2016.

The conference, which was chaired by Senior Lieutenant General Pham Dung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, saw the participation of Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Nam, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics; leaders of the Ministerial Office, the Department of Political Work; as well as representatives of local police units in Vinh Long, Tra Vinh, An Giang, Kien Giang, Hau Giang, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu and Ca Mau.

Delivering reports at the conference, Senior Colonel Bui Quang Hai, Deputy Director of the Kien Giang Provincial Police, Head of Emulation Grouping 9 said that the movement “For Fatherland Security” in 2016 attracted attention of many officers and soldiers and was effectively implemented.

Activities of the movement helped encourage officers, soldiers in endeavoring at work and accomplishing their assignments in order to achieve practical results and maintain political security, social order and safety, denying negative surprises.

Addressing the conference, Deputy Minister Pham Dung praised police units of Emulation Grouping 9, which actively ensured political security, social order and safety in the region.

Programmes of Emulation Grouping 9 closely followed the Resolutions of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Directives of Public Security Minister on public security work in 2016. Emulation Grouping 9 launched the movement with specific slogans and actions.

According to Senior Lieutenant General Pham Dung, emulation programmes of police units should be more  creative  in order to attract more officers and soldiers to participate in the movement. 

He also asked Emulation Grouping 9 to select award OK9 Cabidates in 2016 ensuring the principles of awarding standards and rates ,and to complete the proposal on awardees and send it to the Public Security Ministry in time.

In addition, Emulation Grouping 9 should reinforce and underscore Party building work and force building as well as enhance political and ideological education for police officers and soldiers can always overcome difficulties and accomplish their tasks.  

Moreover, Emulation Grouping 9 should effectively implement Directive No.5 of the Politburo and Directive No.3 of the Public Security Ministry on following Uncle Ho’s 6 teachings to public security forces. 

Deputy Minister Pham Dung stressed that Emulation Grouping 9 should also renew methods and forms of the movement “For Fatherland Security” in line with the political tasks of the Party, the State as well as the Public Security Ministry. 

At the conference, the Kien Giang Provincial Police handed over the chair of Emulation Grouping 9 to the An Giang Provincial Police.
