Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To inspects preparation for election in Bac Ninh

 A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) led by Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, on May 20 worked with the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee on the preparation for the upcoming election of the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels in the 2021-26 term.

According to reports at the meeting, the Bac Ninh Provincial Police Department has actively implemented plans and measures to ensure the absolute security and safety for the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils for the 2021-2026 tenure. 

The provincial police forces have thoroughly grasped the local security situation and actively advised the MPS and local authorities to promptly settle various issues related to security and order.

They also intensified the fight against crimes and the dissemination of information about the election while taking drastic measures to fight against sabotage plots and activities by reactionary and hostile forces.

At the same time, the local police forces, in company with the health sector, enthusiastically participated in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
They also strengthened the management of foreign residencies in order to promptly detect and resolutely handle cases of foreigners illegally entering the country, contributing to preventing the spread of the disease in the community.

On behalf of the Bac Ninh leadership, Ms. Dao Hong Lan, Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, thanked the MPS leadership and all public security officers and soldiers for their great support for the province over the past time, especially in the context of the pandemic in the locality. She also expressed hope that the Public Security Forces will further support Bac Giang in the time to come.Addressing the event, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To hailed the joint effort of the whole Bac Ninh political system in preparing for the upcoming election. Regarding the COVID-19 prevention and fighting, he praised the local authorities and Party committees for their prompt, drastic and effective directions to local police forces, contributing to controlling the development of the disease.
