74th National Conference of Public Security Forces successfully closes

PSNews – Minister of Public Security called on all public security officers and soldiers to uphold the spirit of revolution, solidarity, unanimity to overcome all difficulties and challenges, and successfully fulfill the assigned tasks.

After two working days, the 74th National Conference of Public Security Forces concluded successfully on the afternoon of January 4, in Hanoi. In his closing speech, on behalf of the Central Party Committee of Public Security, Senior Lieutenant General To Lam applauded all achievements of the whole Public Security Forces (PSF) reached in 2018, and underlined the key tasks of the PSF in the coming time.

Regarding the Party and force building, he instructed the whole PSF to make positive robust developments in the building of comprehensively strong, pure and effective Public Security Forces.

In terms of ensuring security, security agencies and units at all levels should always update and well collect information to be active in combating sabotage activities of hostile and reactionary forces while effectively dealing with complex issues relating to security in all fields.

Meanwhile, the police force should focus on cracking down on organized crime, the gangs and criminal groups involved in" black credit ". In particular, the force should improve the effectiveness of the fight against drug crimes, economic crimes and corruption, he underscored.

The Minister also asked functional units within the force to continuously study and perfect the legal system in the field of ensuring security, order as well as operational structure and regulations of the force.

Additionally, traffic police units should accelerate patrolling and controlling activities, strictly deal with violations that directly cause traffic accidents or traffic congestion. Dissemination on fire protection and rescue should also be renewed and popularized in a widespread way.

In the fields of logistics-techniques, the force should actively develop a strategy of information and technology application with the aim of meeting requirement of the force in the current situation.

Moreover, the force should also attach importance to emulation work, considering it as motivation to further promote police units in general, officers and soldiers in particular to successfully fulfill mission following new organizational structure.

On behalf of the Party Central Committee of Public Security, Minister To Lam kicked off the emulation movement "For National Security" in 2019 and called on all officers and soldiers to uphold the spirit of revolution, solidarity, and unanimity to overcome all difficulties and challenges in accordance with the motto :"Active, Exemplary, Disciplined, Responsible and Efficient".
