The voters showed their delight at the achievements that the country and the city have achieved as well as the success of the NA’s seventh session.

They proposed that the Government pay greater attention to designing specific policies to develop the private sector as well as small-and-medium-sized enterprises.

Socio-economic development should be combined with improving people’s income and narrowing the rich-poor gap, they said.

The voters showed their concern about difficulties and challenges facing the country’s development amidst the complicated changing regional and regional situation. Natural disasters and epidemics, especially the African swine fever that has killed millions of pigs so far, were also among their worries.

A number of voters complained that the administrative reform process has showed many shortcomings.

PM Phuc underscored the goal of the NA and Government in building a State by the people and for the people, continuing realizing the 2013 Constitution, ensuring human rights and citizen rights, safeguarding the national sovereignty and providing better services to the people and enterprises.

Regarding measures to develop private economy, the PM affirmed that the resolution issued at the Party Central Committee’s fifth plenary defines that private sector is a motivation of the economy, adding that promoting the sector’s growth is among priorities of the Government.

Taking note of voters’ opinions urging stronger reform of the management and operation of all-level administrations, the PM stressed the need to complete the personnel system to deal with shortcomings in the work. According to him, the highest target of administrative reform is to better serve people and enterprises.

PM Phuc also underlined the necessity to reform the working manner and attitude of public servants, along with more efforts in fighting petty corruption and handle violations.
