General Secretary of the Vietnamese NA and Head of the NA Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc said that three draft laws will be removed from the NA working agenda for further completion, including the Law on Public Administration, the revised Law on Judicial Records, and the revised Law on Environmental Protection Tax.

Thus, the NA will make comments on nine draft laws instead of 12 draft laws, Phuc noted.

The NA is also scheduled to discuss a report on the implementation of the national target programmes on gender equality, the removal of the golf course in the vicinity of the Tan Son Nhat Airport and a number of incidents related to steel hull fishing ships.

The NA will spend 10.75 days on law building; 10.75 days on supervision work; and 1.5 days on opening and closing ceremonies, said the NA General Secretary.

Phuc noted that the NA will consider the approval of six draft laws, including the revised Law on Public Debt Management, the revised Law on Forest Protection and Development, the revised Law on Fisheries, the revised Law on Overseas-based Representative Missions of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Law on Planning and the revised Law on Credit Institutions.

The NA will also look into socio-economic issues and supervise other important issues, including supervising the implementation of reforms in State administrative apparatus organisation, Government reports on anti-corruption, reports on the socio-economic development plan in 2018 and State budget estimates in 2018, among others.
