World media agencies have praised outcome of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s visit to the US, saying that the visit leveraged advantages for Vietnam in its relations with the new US administration.

The ABC News broadcast live President Donald Trump’s reception for Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc in the White House, saying that it was the first visit by a Southeast Asian leader in the new US administration.

The Bangkok Post reported that the Vietnamese Prime Minister's visit to the US is of special significance. AP quoted President Trump as saying that the two sides shared many things for discussion. 

The Washington Times wrote that the reception confirmed Vietnam’s bigger role in President Trump’s strategy in Asia. 

The US News reported on business deals reached during the visit. Russian Sputnik reported on billion dollar deals signed and quoted President Trump’s hope for early balancing of two-way trade revenue.

The Reuters said that President Trump welcomed the new business deals, saying that the visit opened up a bright future for comprehensive strategic partnership for peace, stability, cooperation and development.
