VNAT issues Code of Conduct for Tourism

PSNews-In order to popularize and raise public awareness and improve tourists’ behaviors, contributing to building the image of Vietnam’s tourism, the Vietnam Administration of Tourism has issued the Tourism Code of Conduct.

Particularly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will organize various events to promote civilized tourism at some tourist destinations in Northern, Central, Southern regions.

Travel agencies, hotels, tour guides and local people will be invited to the events.

According to the plan, the MCST will cooperate with the Tourism Association, tour operators to launch campaigns to improve the image of the Vietnamese tourists when traveling within the country and abroad.

The MCST will also coordinate with certain localities to concretize the civilized tourist conducts with vivid images and slogans to enhance the population efficiency.

Integrate dissemination contents on the civilized behaviors of tourism into flyers, folding books, maps, tourist guides of various localities and enterprises to provide to visitors at tourist information counters or admission tickets.

Carry out dissemination on the civilized behavior of tourism on the media in order to create powerful and spontaneous effects, contributing to improving the quality and changing the image of Vietnam's tourism. Integrate and put the content of tourism civilized behaviors into training programs of tourism.

More specifically, the Code of Conduct of Tourism is not a legal document, as a result, the contents include general norms for the purpose of behavioral orientation, civilized habits and manners of organizations and individuals participating in tourism activities in order to positively change the image of Vietnam's tourism towards civilized, friendly and professional.

According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the implementation of the Code of Conduct aims to promote effectiveness and achieve the set objectives and should be disseminated widely and regularly to all related subjects in tourism.
