Vingroup's Vsmart smart phones distributed in Spain

VinSmart Company of Vingroup on March 20 officially announced the distribution of Vsmart smartphone models in the Spanish market through the number one European consumer electronics retailer - Media Markt.

The Vsmart smartphone is the first Vingroup product introduced in Europe, showing the group’s ambition to bring Vietnamese technology to the international market.

“Spain is an extremely important market for Vsmart, the first foreign market Vsmart set foot on, through a combination with BQ - Spain’s leading technology company that Vsmart currently owns 51 percent of the shares. Spain will also be Vsmart’s gateway to conquer the European market,” said Nguyen Thi Bich Phuong, Deputy General Director of Marketing, Vsmart Company, at the launching ceremony in Spain.

Vsmart products will be distributed through nearly 90 stores of Media Markt, a leading consumer electronics retailer with more than 35 years of experience and a presence in 13 countries.

The four smartphone models to be distributed in Spain are Joy 1, Joy 1+, Active 1, and Active 1+. Active 1+ and Joy 1+ will be launched in the first stage, followed by Active 1 and Joy 1.

Before going into mass production, Vsmart products pass nearly 2,500 standard tests (including hardware tests, mechanical tests, and software tests) at BQ’s laboratory in Spain and the Vsmart factory. Vsmart is also tested at the laboratories of Qualcomm, the best supplier of semiconductor chips in the world today.

All equipment and machinery at Vsmart is the most advanced, including three fully-automated parts welding lines, using the latest technology from the US, Germany and Singapore, three circuit test lines with measuring devices from Rohde&Schwarz in Germany, and Qualcomm (US) software and six finished product assembly lines. All meet the highest standards in industrial production in the world.

Vingroup expects Vsmart phones to start the development of an ecosystem of electronics, intelligent technology and AI-enabled devices that contribute to making life more convenient for Vietnamese people.
